This unique timepiece is one of the Swiss transitional period watches, a vintage Elgin automatic wristwatch dated from the early 1970s.
It is a self-winding watch powered by an Elgin movement caliber grade 996 (based on AS 1902/03), 17 jewels, sweep second, unadjusted, Swiss made.
The beautiful silver sunburst dial is in great condition! The Arabic numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9 are blue, and the silver baton hands each have a blue stripe. The dial is signed Elgin and Automatic, and Swiss Made. The stainless-steel case measures 32.5mms.
Adding to the beauty is the vintage JB Champion gold stainless steel one-piece flex bracelet. It has a very pretty geometric pattern on the sides.
It comes with a new-old-stock brown Kreisler Teju Grain two-piece strap.
